- 12/07/2014 - Premium Video Program - Grand Prairie (Dallas), TX Quaid is a tall/projectable prospect that showed strictly as a LHP in his first workout with Baseball Factory. Mechanically, he gathered over the rubber, separated on-time and rotated to the target to finish. He sat from 77-83 with his fastball, spun a 1/7 CB at 61-65, and showed feel for a sinking CH at 60-63. His fastball was sneaky and had late life, but he struggled to repeat with not a lot of rhythm. Finding consistent release points and controlling his landing with his stride foot will quickly allow for improvements to his delivery and control. Offensively, he allowed the ball to travel and accelerated the barrel late down to contact. Becoming more on-time and direct with his bat path will enhance offensive capabilities. In all - Quaid is on track to have an exciting senior season as he preps for the next level this fall.
