Personal Statement
Throughout my sporting career, I have heard that hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. With my talent and hard work, my goal is to play Division I college baseball while reaching my academic goals of graduating from a well-respected university. I always tell myself that God may give you an opportunity but you have to be willing to take it. I have learned that putting in the work, while working hard at my goals, will make me successful in all areas of my life. I believe that putting God first, in front of school and sports, will only benefit me in the long run for only He can give me the opportunities. As a student athlete, I understand that my academics come before my athletics. My competitive spirit pushes me to excel at everything I do. I know real athletes win in the classroom as well as on the field. Throughout my journey, I have learned that family is more important than winning in all occasions, for they are my motivation to succeed in life.
