Reece Barrett '16 Recruiting Profile

My goals, aspirations, and reasons to attend college begin with wanting to acquire a well rounded education.  I also want the opportunity to learn responsibilities and how I'll react to adversity in college life as well as athletics.  I want to  build character through my college experiences that will benefit be in life after college.  My coaches have often referred to me as even keeled.  I don't get too emotionally high or emotionally low.  I keep my teammates loose and upbeat and at times defend them to a fault.  I consider myself a team player willing to do what is best for the team as a whole not necessarily what is best for me as an individual.  I've been told I'm a naturally gifted athlete.  I do not necessarily believe that is true.    I believe that I've worked hard work on quality reps with a simple goal in mind and that has improved me as an athlete.  I am working on preparation and the mental aspects in order to make me a complete student/athlete.
