William Vander Linden '18 Recruiting Profile

I believe that only through sacrifice and pushing myself will I achieve my goals. I don't believe anything should be handed to me, but rather I have to earn my time on the field. I'm looking to improve one small aspect of my game every day and believe that through meaningful practice I can do that. 

I'm a good student who takes pride in achieving top grades. I push myself as hard in the classroom as I do on the field by taking advanced classes and achieving top scores. I'm currently carrying a 4.0 GPA. I intend to maintain that level and graduate at the top of my class. 

In the clubhouse I strive to be a leader in action and encourage those around me to perform at their best. Others have encouraged me and built my confidence, and I try to do the same. I believe that as a team grows in confidence, they perform better together and play for each other. Those teams are the best and most enjoyable that I've been a part of and I want to carry that with me as I progress in my High School career and hopefully onto the next level. 

I'm still trying to figure out what I want to get my degree in, however I'm leaning toward the medical field with an emphasis on sports related injuries and treatments. I am also interested in technology careers as well as other science fields. I plan to continue to study different careers to better understand my options.
