Clyde Hinkley '23 Recruiting Profile

My goals are too continue playing and having fun with baseball at the college level while also taking my academic skills to the next level. I grew up playing baseball since I was 3 and have been in and out of various combat sports (mma, boxing), I have always been an active busy kid even while growing up. My whole life changed when covid was ending and school was starting up again requiring masks. My life changed as I learned that I was now going to be a father at age 15, of course a bunch of different things started going through my head, but I did what was right and realized that I would have to grow up faster than everyone around me and do things normal 15 year olds weren't expected to do. Now being 17 and going into my senior year I wouldn't change how things happened not even a tad, being a father has helped me grow a different type of patience and a new way of dealing with adversity. I am a very strong character and like to have fun but also work hard when it is needed, I love leading and helping peers around me. With being a active dad my preferences for college would be somewhere local or close to home. That being said I primarily pitch and play outfield with little infield experience. My current pitches are Fastball- 75mph, Changeup- 70mph, Slider- 65mph, 12-6 Curve- 63mph ,and on the mound my approach is always pitch to weak contact spots where I can get a rollover or pop up.
