Hello my name is Ryder Lundahl, and I’m interested in furthering my education and pursuit in athletics. It has been a lifelong goal of mine to compete at the collegiate level and pursue my education. Ever since little league I have always pushed myself to be the best player on the field. I understand the importance of hard work; and that the work you put in determines the outcome. My coaches have always praised me that I give 110% in everything I do, on and off the field. I am extremely competitive and do not like losing. My work ethic rubs off on my teammates and encourages them to work harder, which makes our team better.
This summer my high school team hired a new coach. I was given the opportunity to start Varsity at Center Field and hit in the lead off position. I proceeded to lead our team in extra base hits, home runs, runs scored, and RBI’s throughout the summer. I led my team to the American Legion Championship and was named tournament MVP. Currently at the Varsity level I am leading my team in hits, runs scored, and batting average in the lead off position.
On the football field this season I was selected First Team All Region, All Valley and was second on my team for receiving touchdowns. I was the only skill player to play both ways. I am a starting slot receiver and starting middle linebacker.
Just like in sports, I also understand the importance of hard work in school. To receive a cumulative GPA of 3.9, and to be a part of The National Honors Society; I push myself in the classroom just as I do in the weight room and on the field. I am creating good studying habits and managing my time to be prepared for classes. My goal is to have a career in Exercise Science and continue to work in the sports environment.
I am an outstanding team leader and motivator for others around me. I enjoy serving my community and volunteer in the Top Sports program. This is a program for athletes ages 3 and up with disabilities to participate in basketball, soccer, t-ball and bowling. I know that I would be a great addition to your program and school and look forward to the future.
