Dillon Quad '12 Recruiting Profile

I am 5'11" tall and am 175 lbs, I feel that I am fast and have a quick bat. All my life I have been playing against kids who are 2-3 years older than me and who play baseball at a higher level than I do, but everytime I stepped out onto the field against them I played just as well as they did. I'm not going to lie, I liked the challenge of playing against kids who were older than me and that were better. It did nothing except make me a better ball player. I can offer any team a good leader and a definate hard worker. I always go 100 percent no matter what, whether its practices or games. I never lolly-gag, always running on and off the field, theres no walking on a baseball field!, also I can bring you a player that plays the game well, and who knows how to play the game right. I can offer a team drive and dedication as well, I'm one of those kids who is the first one to the ball field and that last one to leave. It has been a dream of mine my who life to play college baseball. One of my favorite quotes is from Lou Gehrig, "The ballplayer who loses his head, who can't keep his cool, is worse than no ballplayer at all." That just sums up how important the mental side of baseball is. I want to go to school in the Virginia/North Carolina/South Carolina region because I like the overall temperature and landscape of that region. Either that or the Pennsylvania/Ohio/West Virginia/Maryland area. I am looking for a kind of big school, also a school with good academic standards, because I am looking for a good education along with a baseball career. I am not quite sure if my family qualifies for financial aid. My goals are to play at the highest level possible, I do not care whether it is at D1 or at a JC, I just want to play and also be a impact player on whatever team I end up playing for, because i hate being on a team and not being able to contribute to their success.
