August 2016Personal Statement
I am currently a senior at the St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont. I'm six feet tall and weight 175 lbs. My primary position is shortstop although I also play outfield and pitch.
I have had a passion for the game of baseball for longer then I can remember. This game has and always will be a huge part of my life. I have figured out a lot about myself and who I am as a person on the diamond but I know there is plenty more to discover in the future. I have a lot of respect for this game.
Living in New England can be tough at some times with our long-cold winters. I can't be out on the field year round like some players get the opportunity to do. That's why I feel like it's important to get as many at bats and reps in the field as possible. I play with three different teams a year starting with high school ball in the spring, American Legion in the summer, and finish with the New England Fall-ball Showcase League. I have felt myself grow as a player through all of these seasons and look forward to continue getting better at a college level.
