Personal Statement
I became interested in baseball when i was two years old. I grew up hitting and throwing a baseball, and it contributed a lot to the man I am today. Baseball has taught me to always compete even when things are not going my way. The more I worried about the last inning, the worse this inning would be. Baseball has taught me to be a mentally tough student-athlete. My leadership role started way back when I was in little league, and has had a tremendous impact on the leader I am on my high school and travel teams today. I also have an exceptionally high work-ethic. I am very self motivated and I want to be the best at everything I do. I give 110% percent at everything I do including my schoolwork.
My academics are just as important as my athletics to me. I strive to be the best student I can be inside, and outside of the classroom. I want to find a college program that fits me both athletically and academically. I believe that I have the baseball talents it takes to compete at the collegiate level, as well as the attitude, work-ethic, character, and leadership it takes to be a successful addition to a college program.
