Personal Statement
I am a good student and athlete and look forward to a college career where I will be able continue both. I do best under pressure of having a tight work out and academic schedule. I am enrolled in Honors classes with a hope in moving into AP classes for next year as a Senior. I have played baseball since I was 5 with T-Ball. I also play football, but my extra training has gone towards improving speed with a speed coach, pitching by working with a past major league pitcher weekly and I take hitting lessons weekly. I am a member of the DelMarva EvoShields which is a national travel team. I am very proud of making this national travel team. I made Varsity last year at Midlothian high school and anticipate doing the same this year at my new school in Goochland. At Midlothian I was written up for being able to play a multiple positions and was recognized at the end of the year as a stellar outfielder and relief pitcher. I am concentrating on outfield and pitching with the hopes of getting a collegiate spot for one or both. I have been a successful catcher in the past as well. This past football season I was written up in a local paper several times for various successes on the field. I am well liked by all of my team mates, no matter the sport and work hard at keeping team motivated on the field, in the dugout or sidelines. Relationship building and learning from others have been huge part of my success. Lastly, I love the game of baseball and will work hard for any coach to improve in the position they need me the most. I am told I am one of the most coachable players many have had and I looked forward to being coached at the college level.
