Javier Rodriguez '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Javier Rodriguez and as long as I remember I've wanted to be a professional baseball player. In that process, I would like to obtain a quality education at an NCAA affiliated college in which I can achieve my academic goals through one of my biggest passion in life. By being a Puerto-Rican, baseball has always been in my veins and has motivated me to compete at my best whenever the opportunity presents itself. My steady perseverance in the classroom and on the field allows me to see my way to success and develop a winning mentality.  I am coachable, determined, and I consider myself that I have the work ethic to compete in your program.  I have managed to balance school work and athletics very efficiently through my entire academic and athletic life since I started playing at three years old and this will not become a problem to keep up the required grades at college.  I intend to take my talents, both, as a student and as an athlete, to your school and make a positive impact.

I always do my best to be the toughest out in the lineup, and I know that I will be a hardworking, positive influence in your program.  I want the opposite team to understand that no matter where I'm playing defensively, they can rest assured that this part of the field is off limits for their hitters.  I know I will bring my mental, defensive, and offensive aspects of my game to the field every day. I hope to lead and provide unity and success to your program. I am convinced that I have the talents to help your team succeed.
