Jarrett Hamby '20 Recruiting Profile

I consider myself a diverse individual.  I am a good student and currently have a 4.1 cumulative GPA.  Learning is only one of my many interests.  Outside of my academic achievements I enjoy hunting, fishing, spending time with my family and friends and playing baseball.  My absolute favorite pastime and passion is spending time on the diamond, playing baseball with my team of brothers.

            Born and raised in the country I enjoy outdoor activities and all that they entail.  Hunting and fishing are leisurely pastimes that allow me to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature around me.  My grandad was a farmer and I learned at a young age to appreciate hard work and what nature has to offer us. 

            I was raised to value the importance of family and friends.  Spending time with my friends and family are especially important to me.  The guidance and advice that my family and friends have given me has helped me to make important decisions in my life.  They gave the determination and confidence to be the person I am today.

            My passion for baseball began when my mom and grandad gave me my first ball, glove, and bat at the age of 5.  I started to play t-ball with the local league and have been playing ever since.  My dedication to the game of baseball pushes me to work harder, on and off the field, in order to advance my skill-set and be the best player that I can be.  I endeavor to pursue my baseball career at the collegiate level.
