Personal Statement
Baseball has a very special place in my heart and in my everyday life. Seems like everything I do on a daily basis revolves around the love I have for baseball. I started playing baseball as soon as I could walk. Since then I have played in recreational baseball as well as travel. On the travel team, we won several tournaments and played in places as far away as Myrtle Beach. Then I got to high school I feel like the experiences I have had over the years of playing baseball have made me a better person, player, and teammate. I have also played every position on the field at least once over the years, my main position is catcher but I do play outfield as well. I am a very coach-able player and have a great baseball mindset. I always try to be the first one on the field and the last to leave. With that type of mindset, I feel like I could bring a great atmosphere to a college baseball team.
Playing college baseball has always been a big dream of mine ever since I was little and I have been working towards that goal heavily. The college I go to isn't a big deal to me as long as they want me to play and have a degree I would want to study. I want a smaller classroom to be able to interact more with the teacher. I can meet most academic requirements while carrying a 3.620 GPA into my second semester. Also while taking classes like sports training and physical education that have kept me in baseball shape, I have done well in my "core classes" also.
I would do anything to fulfill my dreams of playing college baseball and getting an education. I have been professionally trained for the past 4 years and I feel like I can bring a lot of talent to a college baseball roster and create a great atmosphere as well. Currently, I am playing for both my high school varsity team and Baseball Factory. I have been invited to play in several different tournaments across the nation and have become a stronger player because of it. I am scheduled to play in the All-State Tournament in June, in Houston, TX.
