Personal Statement
I began playing baseball at 4 years old and I have always had a love for the game. As I continued to play, I realized that I wanted to continue my baseball career further than high school. I am focused on my efforts to become a better player and student in the classroom as I continue to work towards my goal. I am enthusiastic, driven, open-minded and hard working in all aspects of life. A good characteristic that I carry is that I am a coachable player. I take what the coaches have taught me and use it as motivation to become a better player. As I work to continue my baseball career, I also realize the importance of being a team player and being someone that others can look to for information. Not only do I have these qualities on the baseball field, but they also carryover into the classroom. As a freshman, I have worked hard to achieve my overall GPA thus far of a 3.27. I have set a personal goal to continue to work hard in the classroom to increase my GPA by my senior year. I will continue to work hard each day to become a better overall candidate for your team.
