I am a 5’9” outfielder/pitcher from Bothell, WA. I have started on the Lynnwood High School varsity team for 3 years and earned a 2nd team utility player in my sophomore year. Last year (junior year) I fractured my pinky finger early in the season and was only able to play in a handful of games. I have a 3.45 GPA and a 3.67 weighted GPA and an 1210 SAT score.
In summer ball I played on the Ford Sports Performance 18U team. I averaged .349 in 55 games. I pitched in 13 games, had an ERA of .881 and struck out 46 batters. All stats can be viewed on Game Changer.
I am looking for a school where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the field. Ideally I would like to go to a school in Washington, California, Arizona, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina or Virginia although I have not ruled out any school. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of engineering, business or architecture. Financial assistance is going to be moderately important to me in the college selection process as my family will have some need. I would be willing to travel farther to a school with less out of pocket expense. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I believe my best fit would be at the DI or DII level, although I will absolutely consider high academic DIII opportunities.
