Personal Statement
I am working hard toward my dream of playing at the baseball collegiate level and setting goals to obtain that. School is important to me and I have maintained a high GPA while taking leadership and AP classes throughout junior high and high school. I have also taken on a leadership role at school, recognized as Student Leader, and have been honored for my volunteer work on and off of campus. I participated in an aid mission to Nicaragua, served at the Ronald McDonald House, and volunteer for the City Of Maple Valley.
The common thread from my coaches is how coachable I am and that I am a team leader on and off the field. I play short stop, second base and third base and am a relief pitcher. As a pitcher, I throw submarine and focus on weak contact and throwing strikes. I am a smart situational hitter and I have good bat control. This off season my exit velocity has increased from 81 Mph and is now topping out at 90 Mph.
In the summer of 2017 I was invited to participate at the Under Armour World Series at Pirate City, Fl. I thrived in the structured environment! Playing baseball, training for baseball and team bonding is how I envision my life as a college athlete.
