March 2017Personal Statement
I am very driven in both my academic and athletic pursuits. I have always challenged myself by playing on older, more advanced teams and looked for opportunities to play against the best competition available. I feel that my work ethic is second to none and I am constantly finding ways to improve my performance.
I have been very fortunate that I have been awarded the opportunity to play on top local, regional and national teams. My greatest honor was being selected to represent our country in the Dominican Republic on team USA-LABC. This opened my eyes to the passion that players from all over the world have for this sport and the obstacles that they have to overcome, just to play the game of baseball.
From that experience I have volunteered for a number of local youth outreach camps for young baseball players and I have tried to build on their passion to play the game.
I am open to all possibilities to play in college and I would welcome the chance to speak with you about your program.
