Personal Statement
I have played organized and competitive sports since the age of 6, but nothing has compared to my passion for baseball. I have great respect for the game, my coaches, and my teammates with whom I interact and compete with daily. I want to play at the highest level where I can make an impact and contribute to the team’s success. I believe what makes me different from other recruits is that my academic strengths combined with my athletic ability and versatility make for a strong overall player and person. It is my dream to play college baseball and I am dedicated to put in the hard work required to make that a reality.
My game has evolved over the years as I’ve had to work my way into lineups, rotations, and moved my way around in the batting order. My strength of spirit, character, and leadership have persisted, and I am constantly seeing the benefits. I have earned the respect of my coaches, my teammates, school administrators, and even parents along the way. I take the same work ethic and character to the classroom because my parents have always stressed the importance of being a model student on and off the field. I recognize the value of academics in my life and the advantages that a strong academic performance can provide. I’ve seen first-hand that earning a degree while networking and forming solid relationships will serve me well long after my baseball career ends.
My goal at the college level is to obtain the best well rounded overall experience possible. I plan to pursue a degree in Biology and eventually move on to Dental school. While working to achieve those accomplishments, I want to continue growing my game in a program that competes for championships.
