Personal Statement
I have been interested in baseball for as long as I can remember. Playing baseball taught me hard work, determination, and goal setting are all very important. These are concepts that I value and have transferred to other parts of my life. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. During all of my school years I have had to work harder than others to earn my grades. My high school teacher told me I have the determination and perseverance that she has not seen in others. I pride myself in working hard to achieving the goals I set for myself. I have played basketball, soccer, and baseball for several years on a variety of different teams. By being on multiple teams, I have taken on several roles and learned about the importance of teamwork and to value all members on the team. I feel like this has taught me how to be a leader and a positive teammate. This past varsity baseball season I was awarded “Rookie of the Year” by my coaches and teammates. I am searching for a college that is a good fit for me academically and athletically. Lastly, I am searching for a college that can give me opportunities to grow into the person I want to become on and off the field.
