Zachary Gibson '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zachary Gibson. Baseball has been a part of my life since I can remember. Being a military child my entire life, I have moved around the entire country and played for many baseball organizations. Baseball is the one thing that remained constant for me throughout all the changes in new environments. These circumstances taught me to be self-motivated, hardworking, easily adaptable to change, and always maintain a positive attitude. I have been coached by many coaches around the United States and have taken a little from each of them to be the player that I am today.

I have been a varsity starter for three years, team captain for two years, and was an honorable mention for the Mississippi Valley Conference the past two seasons.  

I am looking for a school that has a team-mentality first and desires to be the best team they can be both physically and mentally. I am focused on achieving the highest potential that I can achieve while being a part of something bigger. I welcome criticism and I am willing to do anything that will help me achieve my goals in conjunction with the team goals. I am looking for a coach that will be straight forward with me and assist me with any weaknesses they observe.

Baseball is a dream of mine that I wish to hold onto as long as I can. I will strive to give 110% in both athletics and academics every day. I will put in the required work to reach my potential and put in extra work with the desire to over-achieve. I will always be a team player and commit to the baseball team’s and school’s philosophy.
