My biggest obstacle in life was being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 6, it was a struggle at first to learn how to manage this condition and to accept it as being part of my life. It has shown me to be a stronger person. Growing up in a small town, being a three-season athlete has really helped me find who I am and what I would like to do after high school. The harder I work the more opportunity I will have.
My sophomore year, I transferred to a different school district, one that would work better with my academics and athletic skills. I work hard and I am taking some advanced classes that fit my level.
I am learning the value of team work, commitment and sacrifice. I am interested in a program that will help me reach my goals with academics and to help me build my leadership skills athletically. I feel my talent will make a great impact on your program in return I can also excel in my future.
