Personal Statement
After playing my first full freshmen season at the College of Lake County, it opened my eyes up about college baseball. I found my swing this year hitting lead off and got comfortable with a leg kick and ended up hitting .342. My defense is always solid day in and day out with a strong arm that can throw the ball on a rope to first base in the hole. I played shorstop all 42 games at CLC but I am very versitile and can play 2nd and 3rd.
I feel I am a good candidate for a team because I have been through a full season already. I know the grind of playing 45 games in a season, trying to type a four page paper after I have been gone on the road for six hours, while still maintaining a 3.25 GPA. I have had my own apartment that I have had to pay rent, electric and cable. I know what a player has to do to get through a season not just athletically but academically and mentally. I am a player you dont have to worry about and wonder if he can handle the grind of baseball. I know my abilities and I am very confident at what I can do.
