Personal Statement
I have a true and legitimate desire to play baseball at the collegiate level, and I firmly believe that I have the talent and work ethic to do this. I work well with others, and have often taken on leadership roles in other teams I have participated on. I enjoy hard work, and am always looking to get better at my skills. I worked hard as a 3-sport high school athlete to put time in during the off-season months for each sport I participated in. Although I spent time on baseball skills year-round, being committed to 3 different sports also meant some sacrifices for baseball in the off-season. Sacrifices, hard work and juggling priorities are something I am used to, but my first love is baseball. I have loved, studied and immersed myself in the game since I was 5. I enjoy the strategies, and the mental strength required to play such a complicated game. I pride myself on my ability to be in the right place at the right time, and making very few mental errors.
I always give 100%, and I always strive to be the best that I can be, and this includes my commitment to academics. I have a strong desire to work in the medical field some day and I often took difficult classes so that I would be prepared for such a career. I hope I will get the chance to show someone how hard I work to fulfill my goals - both inside the classroom as well as in between the lines on the baseball field.
