Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Talon Nuss. I live in Powell, Wyoming and I am currently a freshman at Powell High School who is very interested in playing baseball at the college level upon graduation. First and foremost, I would like to tell you a little about myself, I am a multi-sport athlete who is a team first kind of guy. I believe in a team first mentality over personal accomplishments. I also believe hard work pays off and therefore I will always be the hardest working on the team. I believe skill only get you so far and hard work will get you where you want to go in life. I also pride myself as a team leader and I'm always the one talking and encouraging my team throughout our games.
I currently play shortstop, second base, and catcher for our legion JV team as we do not have a high school affiliated baseball team. I'm a little underweight as of right now at 5'2" and 90lbs, however, I'm hitting a growth spurt and lifting weights every day. I've put on 20lbs since July and therefore I don't think my size will be a factor in coming years.
Again, I am very interested in playing baseball at the college level in any way shape or form and believe I would be a huge asset to any program.
