Athletes, Parents and Coaches,
2020 is a special year for NCSA. Twenty years ago, NCSA was a small start-up that set out to revolutionize the recruiting process. Our goal was simple – make it easier for student-athletes to find the right school and easier for college coaches to find the right student-athletes. Equally important was our commitment to giving back. We wanted to make sure that all student-athletes had the opportunity to find a path to college through sport, regardless of financial limitations.
At that time, college coaches discovered prospects by traveling to events and rarely recruited athletes outside of their region. Student-athletes had no easy way of connecting with college coaches and had limited resources to help navigate the complicated recruiting process.
Over the last two decades, we’ve worked to solve those challenges and many more, creating the world’s largest recruiting network and building a platform where hundreds of thousands of high school athletes can connect with college coaches from across the country.
Nearly 25 million messages were exchanged between student-athletes and college coaches on NCSA’s network in 2019 alone.
NCSA has become the trusted source for recruiting education and guidance. Families turn to NCSA to help find the school where a student-athlete can be successful both on and off the field, and we take this responsibility seriously.
NCSA’s comprehensive approach to recruiting has been proven to help athletes stay on their college team and ensure long-term success. In fact, our research has shown that athletes who use NCSA are 18% more likely to stay on their team roster when compared to athletes who do not use NCSA.
We’ve remained committed to making college sports accessible to all student-athletes, helping thousands of deserving young athletes who may not otherwise have an opportunity to continue their education and play their sport in college. NCSA has provided free recruiting support to over 30,000 qualified athletes based on financial need and military status and donated millions of dollars in services to deserving families through our All In Award and Seat At The Table programs.
Over the last 20 years, NCSA has grown from a group of 10 driven individuals to a team of over 750 former college and professional athletes and coaches. We’ve expanded our network to include 34 different college sports and helped over 200,000 student-athletes make their dream of competing in college a reality.
Since our inception, over 90% of all U.S. colleges with athletic programs have had at least one NCSA athlete on their rosters.
A lot has changed in 20 years, but our mission remains the same – to help families and coaches find true success in recruiting. I want to thank all of our athletes, families and coaches for trusting us with your future. It’s been our team’s privilege to help you on your recruiting journey. We look forward to creating new, innovative solutions and supporting many more families during every step of their recruiting journey.
