Cheerleading is more than just a sport to me, cheer is an opportunity to make a difference, even if just a momentary one. This may take the form of hyping up a crowd when their team isn’t winning, counting for another cheer team if their music cuts out, or most importantly helping a teammate when they are having a hard day. This is what makes cheer worthwhile for me. My teammates have always been a major part of my motivation, knowing that I have people to depend on and people that depend on me drives me to be a better athlete, student, and teammate.
