I was a gymnast for nine years, but once I began Cheerleading in my freshmen year of High School I fell in love with the sport. In March 2021, it was just one day before cheer tryouts for my sophomore year, but that day I got into an ATV accident and broke my tibia. Recovering from an injury like this never gets easier, but it not only has made me stronger as an athlete but also academically. Making a comeback after this setback was not easy, but my sophomore year I thought it would be fun to go all in and try out for the Competitive team at my school. I am so thankful I tried out for the team because Cheerleading has made such a huge impact on my life and that is why I would love to be a part of a Cheerleading team in college.
