My academic goal is to earn a bachelor’s degree in health sciences, however I am still deciding on the specific focus of my studies. I am passionate about helping others which was my inspiration for first joining the health science learning community at New Dorp High School. Through this program, I was exposed to a variety of fields within the medical world, which inspired me to continue my education in this field.
What makes me a good player for any team is my dedication and eagerness to improve. I’ve been involved in cheerleading since I was five, and through the years, I’ve performed at multiple levels and on many stages. My teams have earned several grand champion titles and have been invited to compete in events across the country. My background in cheerleading and gymnastics has given me the ability to take on new roles and responsibilities on any team.
In addition to cheer and gymnastics, I’ve trained in martial arts starting the age of three, I currently hold a second-degree black belt in United States Black Cat Kenpo under Master Curry. My persistence and commitment to martial arts have also led me to become an Assistant Instructor, where I lead training sessions for kids, teens, and adults, additionally I instruct private one-on-one sessions for children and teens with special needs. Outside of my teaching role, I am continuing my martial arts journey by practicing Jujitsu with the goal of earning my second black belt.
