I competed Junior Artistic Gymnastics up to level 7, where I then transferred into the Xcel program becoming an Xcel Diamond gymnast, which is the highest level in the program. I made the decision to leave the sport before high school to focus on academics and discovered a love for high school cheer in the process.
Because my school does not offer cheerleading to incoming freshman, I joined Pep Squad. Here, I got to build a relationship with the head cheer coach, get a look into my school’s spirit program, and performed at pep rallies and at halftime for every football game we attended. As well as participating in the famous Battle of Flowers Parade, representing my high school.
I have been an All-A Honor Roll student my entire academic career, earning myself countless awards, and I have a passion for learning, my community, and wellbeing.
A goal I have is to push myself to my absolute best and become 1% better every day. If my mom could describe me in one word, she‘d use ”disciplined“. I have a consistent hunger to improve and succeed, and never second-guess putting in the work. I’d consider myself a fast learner and ambitious in all aspects of my life. I can be independent and take the initiative to coach and support myself, but at the same time, I’m also very coachable and open to critiques. I’m very competitive, but won’t hesitate to help out a peer in need, and do my best every day to be the best athlete, neighbor, student, friend, and influence I can be. I think it speaks enough about my character that my teammates always tell me “I need you in my head hyping me up 24/7.“
Although my life gets a bit hectic as a varsity cheerleader, scholar, and brand ambassador, I do what I need to in order to keep my life balanced and time managed properly.
