Hi, I'm Bailey Jenkins. I'm a going-on senior on my Fife High Schools Varsity cheer team. This is my third year on the varsity team due to freshmen not having the opportunity to try out. I was also on varsity for a short amount of time at Cascade Christian Junior High/ High School during my 8th-grade year. I'm a side base in FHS's point stunt group. My group can currently do preps, show and go's, hitches, extensions, twist-ups, and half-ups. We have done cradles and libs in the past. As for tumbling, I currently have a cartwheel and round-off. I've been working with private tumbling coaches to get my BHS and continue learning skills.
I currently have a 3.97 un-weighted / 4.417 weighted GPA with honors, AP, and college in high school classes. I have college credits in math, English, and science so far as well as credits from the National Youth Summit on the Environment. I'm in leadership courses as well as a National Honors Society member, Key Club Vice President, FCCLA secretary, Unified P.R.O, and ASB Rennasaince coordinator. I love reading, painting, science, swimming, the ocean, and my kitten snaps. I want to explore marine biology or oceanography in college. I have a full-time job in the summer as a lifeguard as well as a part-time job as a cashier at Panera Bread during the school year. I make this work with the cheer schedule for football and basketball season.
I believe I bring hard work, a happy mood, a bright smile, and a passion for growth to any team I get the opportunity to work with. I am always looking to improve and learn when I can as well as step up to be a leader when applicable. At NCA camp last August, we got three superior ribbons and a most improved trophy. I got nominated to try out for All- American for my motions as well as awarded my team's most inspiring award two years in a row. I base usually but also have the ability to fly. I've flown preps, extensions, half-ups, and libs. Im needed more as a base on my team however and am excited to do anything that benefits the team. I have also main-based and front spotted. I'm planning on learning to back spot in the future as well. I look forward to working with college coaches to improve my skills and teach me how to be a better student, athlete, and person.
