Hi! My name is Sinead Marie and I am a year round and completely committed field hockey player. Ever since I picked up a field hockey stick at the age of 9, I have loved to compete. I am currently a Junior at Hall high School in West Hartford, Connecticut where I start as a defender. I played almost every minute of each game this season as my team reached the Connecticut L State Tournament. This season, my team won the league conference with a record of 15-0-1. For the last two summers, I have played for the Mannheim Hockey Club in Mannheim, Germany under the guidance of German Assistant National Team Coach, Andreas Hoeppner. He is generally regarded as one of Europe's best U16 coaches. I have competed in both U14 and U16 matches for the Mannheim Club. I am a dedicated student and volunteer in my community at the American School for the Deaf (ASD). I speak English and Spanish. I am currently learning American Sign Language and German. Fundamentally, I want to be a student/athlete in college. I work very hard in both school and field hockey (I also play Lacrosse). I have solid top end speed and play a sound, fundamental and technically strong game of field hockey. I love it!
