I began playing field hockey in 1st grade at our local YMCA and my love for the sport has only grown since then. During that time I have had several great coaches. The one who was the biggest influence however was my Club Coach Mallory Mason. She taught me to set my goals higher than what is comfortable and to view failure as an opportunity to grow. With that attitude in mind last year I played in an age group above mine and made the Elite Travel Team with my club.
I plan on continuing that outlook through high school with the goal of finding the university that enables me to grow as an athlete and a person. I know I have the talent, drive, and mental discipline to compete for a college. Is that school yours?
