I am currently a senior attending Gorham High School. I have been inducted into the National Honor Society, which I’m very proud of. I maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am most proud of the work I have done in my town with the youth field hockey program. It is very rewarding to teach players skills to use during games and see them execute the moves. Plus, the smiles and laughter these young players constantly have is infectious and just makes me feel good. As a player that got captivated by the sport of field hockey in this same program, I feel it is my responsibility to give back. Maybe a future leader and star player will be one that I coached.
I started playing field hockey in the 1st grade. After several years of participating in the fall season, I decided to extend the season playing travel field hockey in 6th grade for Coastal Field Hockey. After a couple of years, I moved to Maine Styx where I am currently playing. It has been a wonderful experience and game changer for me to participate on a travel team. I play right forward wing for my travel program. Travel field hockey has given me an edge to better understand the game and improve my individual skills, which allows me to contribute at a higher-level on the field for both my Styx and high school varsity teams.
As a junior, I was one of the captains on my varsity high school team. It was a huge honor, and one allowing me to grow as a person on and off the field. I have been selected again to be captain during my senior year. I’m very grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continuing growing as a leader.

My position on varsity my freshman and sophomore years was forward center and wing respectfully. This past season I was moved to midfielder allowing me to play both sides of the field and be more available in almost every play. I was very active on corners. I was the fly on defense and either insert, receiver, or shooter on offense. We had a very successful season and went one game deeper into the playoffs losing in the quarter finals. I have been the recipient of the State of Maine All State Second Team for two years. I received a leadership award from my high school team for my work with the youth program and qualities and characteristics I demonstrate.
My goal is to play at the collegiate level. I have started training to improve my speed, strength and agility. I know it is important to be physically ready at the next level. I will continue to focus on improving my skills to contribute to the teams I play for to allow us to be successful.
