Hello, my name is Rachel, and some of my favorite things include swimming, my cat Coconut, and of course, playing field hockey. I started playing field hockey in third grade through the local rec program. We did skill drills in the fall, played indoors in the winter, and outside again in the summer. After playing for a while I realized how much I loved this sport and I began to see that I had some talent. In middle school, I played for the school team. In addition, I also joined a club team, in order to further my skills. This is one of the best things that I did for my field hockey career because I still play on the same team today. Now I get to travel, play my favorite sport, and be with friends who have the same interest in the sport as me. In high school, I am even more serious about athletics, and I realize that I want to continue playing the sport I love after I graduate.
I am a very goal-oriented and determined student and athlete. I want to attend a competitive college with high academic standards that will challenge me. I am thinking about legal studies and entering the field of law in some way. I am looking for a collegiate field hockey team that understands the importance of academics in a player's life but also allows its players to shine on the field.
