Hi coaches! My name is Ava! I am a sophomore at Pocomoke High School and I am a two-year starting defender for Varsity field hockey. This past season we became the 2021 1A Md State Champions. I have an unique advantage of having a strong left side which makes me a great left defender. I am highly coachable, can be counted on to always work hard, and to be a leader on the field. During my freshman year, I was awarded Defensive Player of the Year. I also play club (indoor/outdoor) hockey for Shore Byrds. I have been playing field hockey since I was old enough to hold a stick and have become very passionate for the game. I desire to play collegiately while pursuing a degree in the medical field.
