Personal Statement
HI! My Name is Kadienne Patterson and I will be heading into my Senior year next fall (Class of 2025). I have been playing field hockey for over 8 years for both club and school programs. I am a strong, confident, motivating midfielder who has the versatility to play both defense and offense. Some of my biggest accomplishments so far were playing JV for Leicester High School as a 7th grader, starting Varsity as a freshman, and scoring 2 goals in a game against Maynard last fall.
In my spare time I like to head up to the school turf with my teammates and teach them the drills and skills that I learn from my club team. Club field hockey is not something everyone can afford so this is my way of trying to pay it forward. I'd like to major in elementary education (GPA= 3.71) because I love little kids and I'd like the opportunity to help shape young minds and help them see how important they are to our future. With the help of my High School teammates, I am trying to organize free field hockey clinics for the younger children in town to get them interested in the sport and maybe even start a feeder program for the school system.
When I am not focusing on school, field hockey, or track and field I can be found kayaking, fishing, camping or hiking. I love being outside and even camp in the winter if the weather is decent. On rainy days you can find me in the kitchen baking Disney or holiday specific desserts.
