Thank you for reading my statement.

I love being a student-athlete and competing on any level. I am preparing so I can earn a spot to play college field hockey and get a quality education.  I enjoy a challenge and as a  13-year old I made varsity and started most of the games.  I had only played  for two years prior to that but I am a fast learner, I listen well and I am very coachable.

Academics and athletics are very important to me and I want to follow in the steps of my twin brothers who are college juniors playing college baseball (Rhodes College and Davidson College) and  my dad who ran Division I track and played  football.  As school superintendent and former coach, my dad has really helped  me understand the value of teamwork and the importance of being a good teammate.   My family motivates me to do the best that I can and my mom has helped  learn how to properly plan and prepare and to have an open and objective mindset.  

I am excited about my future and I am putting in the work to be an excellent student-athlete.
