I want to do Field Hockey at the collegiate level because ever since I bought my first stick when I was 13 I haven't stopped playing. I instantly fell in love with the sport but not just with the sport itself but the people who also play. I've met my best friend through field hockey. Almost every game I have conversations with girls from opposing teams who I've never met and I think that's pretty awesome how we can go from total enemies when one of us has the ball to just a couple of girls talking about a sport they love.
I consider myself a very resilient person, throughout my high school field hockey career I had a few set backs. My freshmen year of high school we only had one big team because it was Pinckney's second year of field hockey but, by my sophomore year we had a JV and Varsity team. I ended up not making the varsity team and a couple of girls from my grade did so, I decided I make the best of it. I ended up being one of the captains and voted MVP. I learned that even though I was put on the JV team that you can still be a great and talented player.
