Personal Statement

Dear Coaches,

My name is Noelle Wiedenhoeft and I play the position of goalie, for field hockey. I go to Spring Lake High School, I do not only do field hockey but I also do choir, clubs, student spirit/section things, and I work when able.

My biggest goals in college are to get the best education possible, be a successful student-athlete and lay the groundwork for my future career.  I would love to take my playing career in field hockey as far as I possibly can, along with simply being the best person I can be as a friend, daughter, sister, teammate, and medical worker that I perhaps can be

These are only a few of my collegiate goals, but I will continue to work as hard as I possibly can to achieve each of those goals. I will always be the player to get the job done and to do it efficiently. Having me as your goalie is a big advantage because I am not only good at my position but I am also good at communication, gameplay, and most of all kindness to not only my teammates but also the other team. Another huge reason you should consider me for this position is that I am an excellent goalie but am aggressive with my play and I will not stop to get that ball out of my goal until the job is done. What makes me different from other candidates in an athletic way is that I will strive to become the best player I need to be and who you need me to be, but also be the leader that every team needs. I am a very coachable player and will work harder than I need to daily. Personally, I believe I am funny, kind, sweet, competitive, and always smiling. Most people say and I quote “Whenever you walk into a room, Noelle it lights up.” My character is not self-made, it took me years to become the person I am today, the result of both my ups and downs in my personal life.

I hope you consider me for the position, for not only my playing skills, but also my skills in athletics, life, and work.
