I have loved field hockey since the first time I ran out onto the field. I started playing in 2009 when I participated in the Aim Field Hockey little divots program. The next year I decided to give GK a stab and now here we are almost 12 years later. I played with Aim Field Hockey until 7th grade participating in the both National Indoor Tournament(2018) and the Disney Showcase(2018) when I chose to focus on my growth off of the field. That's when I found rowing. Rowing was the one of hardest sport I have ever tackled and is the source of my work ethic. After spending 2 years rowing competitively for St. Louis Rowing Club, I returned to cage with a new mindset playing for Ladue Horton Watkins Varsity team. Taking a break from field hockey showed me just how much I love the game and is the reason I give 100% at every single practice, no matter what.
As for academics, I have been taking advanced classes at Ladue since freshman year and I am interested in a school with a competitive academic program. I am excited to take AP French and AP US History next year and I also look forward to continuing my education in foreign languages in college. I will always be a student first and I hope to find a school where I am able to focus on learning.
