Personal Statement
During my highschool career, I had an injury that put a lot into perspective both about myself as well as the game of field hockey. It made me realize that my role on the sideline was just as important as being on the field. It’s easy to take it all for granted, the game, the teammates, the sound of your stick making contact with the ball, all until it gets taken away. This injury prevented me from finishing out the season. This experience and my love and devotion to field hockey taught me that I am a lot stronger than I think. The comeback is always stronger than the set back. From that point forward I got to work. Most recently, I made elite on a club team where I travel and hour and half away from my home to continue to practice and hone in on my skills for showcases on the off season. Everyday, I work to achieve my goal of getting stronger and become a better player by improving my skill and IQ. Meanwhile, I strive for excellence in my academics, attaining high honor roll yearly. My goal is to take this passion of mine for the game of field hockey and play at the collegiate level. I aspire to find a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. My coachability and my drive for success would make me a great addition to your team.
