Field hockey is my passion; every year I have a countdown to my pre-season, play in summer league games and practices, and even go to a local turf field to practice with friends in my free time. Since my freshman year, I started every varsity game as a forward. After my sophomore year, I had the most goals scored on my team that season, even scoring a game winner in overtime.
However, field hockey is not the only sport I play. As a sophomore, I played field hockey, basketball, and softball, all at the varsity level. This is what sets me apart from other players. By playing on three different teams, I have learned to apply the various athletic skills from each to help me thrive in my three different sports. Basketball and softball are my other sports, and I also worked hard in and out of season to earn a top spot on varsity for both. For basketball, I always made sure I was the first person in the gym and the last person out. For softball, my dad and I would practice outside in my yard until we couldn't see the ball anymore no matter the weather condition. I wanted to be one of the best, and I will never stop wanting to improve myself.
I have been described as very coachable, a good listener, and extremely committed. All my life I have been self-driven and goal-oriented. I am currently the president of the student council, was the president of my class for 2 years, take any opportunity to serve my community, am an active member of 7 clubs, all while maintaining a 4.5 GPA. In college my major career which aids the underprivileged. When I have a goal, I won't stop going after it. In college, I want to continue to be my best self, academically, civically, and athletically.
Being a collegiate athlete has been a dream of mine since the 5th grade. As a little kid, before I joined organized sports, you could see me out in my yard playing around with one of my sister's old sticks. I love the game more than anything, and continuing my career in college would mean that all of my hard work in the past years has paid off.
