I am entering my Senior year at Bay Shore High School. I started playing field hockey in 7th grade and made Varsity as a Freshman. I was first introduced to field hockey in elementary school through sports camps. Unfortunately, at that time I was a competitive gymnast and could not pursue field hockey.
During middle school I decided to pursue field hockey instead of gymnastics. This background has helped shape the field hockey player that I am today. Gymnastics has prepared me mentally and physically for athletics. I believe my best asset as a player is my speed, athleticism, and game awareness.
I joined Strong Island Field Hockey Club and Futures to improve my high school game. My club experience has been great as I work with a variety of excellent coaches who have helped develop my skills. Club allows me to play against better players and motivates me to improve. I am very excited about my senior year of high school field hockey. I’m looking forward to helping the Seniors to a memorable season.
I believe I have what it takes to achieve my goal of playing in college and pursuing a college degree.
