Personal Statement

Figure skating has been a huge part of my sports and life. I started field hockey in 4th grade doing scrimmages and learning the basics. My 7th grade year I started on modified and by 8th was ready for JV. Going to a small school didn't leave many players for the coachs to rely on. Being a forwards did however have many seniors in my spot on varsity. I was moved up for games, and brought down as well. Playing varsity did teach me a lot. This past summer a group of four of us went to Syracuse for a summer camp and that taught me to really step up my game for this upcoming season. I had gone to Skidmore college to play, but wasn't too impressed with the coaching, for it was mostly beginner athletes. I'd love to be a multi-sport athlete as long as the coachs are aware of possible conflict between to two. Throughout high school, acedemics came first. I had to keep focus between everything. Effort and determination are really big to me.
