My passion for field hockey began the moment I touched a field hockey stick in Middle School. Ever since then I could not get enough of the sport. I played modified field hockey for only 1 season and was immediately moved to the Varsity Team. I have played on my school’s high school varsity team since 8th grade. Playing with older girls has shaped me as a player and a person. Now, I am a leader and Captain of my team . This opportunity has taught me that perseverance and a good attitude can determine the difference in a win and a loss. My school team is small and inexperienced, but our positive attitude and grit have led us to a winning record. I have participated in the USA Futures program for the last two years and was selected this past June to the Regional team, which competed in the National Tournament in June 2018. In November I will start traveling an hour and a half away from my home to participate in a club team. I traveled all summer and participated in numerous Camps and events all along the east coast and this has helped me further develop my skills and passion for the sport. Every day I strive to get stronger, play smarter, and become a better player. I am interested in taking my field hockey to the collegiate level. I am looking for a program that will challenge me academically and athletically. My tenacity and desire to succeed would make me a great addition to your team!
