My name is Jahna Driscoll and I am currently an uncommited Senior at Greene Central High School in Greene, NY. I am 5'4" and weigh 130 pounds. Although I do not know my 100 yard dash time, standing jump etc., I do know that my mile time is 7:00. I will be posting these stats as they are available.
Important titles that I have won with my club team are: NIT champions U14, U16, & U19, Festival champions U19, Disney Showcase 4th place U19, and taking 2nd place at NFC's U16. Some school accomplishments that are important to me are being named 1st Team-All State three years in a row, being Section 4 lead scorer with 31 goals, and getting NFHCA/ Harrow Sports All-American Honors. The experience that has impacted my field hockey career the most, however, was winning a state title my freshman year. I expected to be the outcast of the team and receive no playing time.........but I was completely wrong. I played every minute of every game allowing me to create a bond and family with a group of girls that will never be broken or forgotten. From this season I learned how important passion, heart and leadership is, and that without it, teams are much weaker. These qualities are now very important to me. I love to help teammates out whenever I can, but also enjoy getting advice from others and learning new things to make me a better person and player. I like to set goals for myself and push untill I reach them. I practice just as hard as I play in a game and am all about "leaving it all on the field." I have been doing this since the first time i picked up a stick, and plan on doing the same in college. I won't stop until I hear the sound of the boards. My dream is to go to a college with an excellent academic and field hockey program. Geographic location and school size are not significant factors to me. I am open to go to any state to attend a college that is best for me. My desired major is nursing with a long range goal of becoming a nurse anesthetist. As far as athletics go, my goals are to play at the highest level of competition I can, to make an impact on the team, and develop new friendships that will last forever :)
