Personal Statement
My passion for field hockey started at my first clinic in 6th grade. It was my first time getting a stick on a ball, and I knew at that moment that this was the sport for me. I knew that this was the sport I was willing to put in all my time and effort for. Since then I've been apart of two club teams and my school team. At the end of my season as a seventh grader on modified I was asked to tryout for JV. As an 8th grader on my jv team I started every-game and was the leading scorer. Also, as a 13 year old I was playing up at a U16 team for my club. I also was apart of a club Futures which is under the USA field hockey program. Being the youngest on the teams I've played for has showed me how to be a leader and how to overcome and lows we've had in the season. Being on a team for me, is on of the most important aspects of this game. Playing alone isn't like playing with a family, having the opportunity to play with a close team is not something that happens to everyone, and I was lucky enough for it to happen to me. With my three years left I have to play on my varsity team Im ready to increase my level of play and my level of skills. Im ready to fight for as many sectional titles my team and I can overcome. My aspiration to continue this sport at the next level and my dedication will make me a great addition to your team.
