Ever since I picked up a stick and started playing field hockey in 6th grade my dream has been to play at the college level. With that dream in the back of my mind, I set out to work hard and develop my skills to chart the course. Wearing school colors, playing in front of a big crowd, having tons of school spirit and helping to motivate and lead a team to WIN are all things that make me excited to play at the college level.
I've been playing field hockey since 6th grade. My freshman year of high school I had the opportunity to play as a starting forward on Varsity. I was the only freshman chosen for Varsity and I can say with confidence I earned that spot. I work hard. I am conscientious. I care A LOT about winning and being the best player I can be for my team. I listen to my coach. I am competitive with myself as well as my teammates and I believe that drive has helped to get me where I am today on the field and in other aspects of my life. I love playing on a team and encouraging my teammates to play their best. I continue to gain confidence to take on leadership roles and work as hard as I can (just ask my coach!). On the weekends I volunteer to coach youth field hockey at the YMCA. I believe it's important to give back to my sport and I love to inspire the younger girls in my community.
It would be a dream to play in college and I hope to find a great match.
Hope to hear from you soon.
