Personal Statement

My name is Kate Perrin, and I play for Charlotte Ambush Field Hockey Club. I go to Myers Park High School, and will graduate in 2023. I have always loved playing sports since I was little, and I started soccer when I was 3 years old. I played for years and thought that would be my sport, until I was introduced to field hockey in fourth grade. I attended some clinics, and fell in love with the game. I recently quit soccer to pursue field hockey. My club team travels along the east coast challenging ourselves against opponents, and having tons of fun while we are there. I would like to play field hockey at a school that will challenge me both athletically and academically. My relationships with the coaches and players are extremely important to me. Being very close and having a sense of community with the team is one of my top priorities. My coaches have said I am aggressive, creative and speedy. I am also very competitive, and I love to win. When I don't, I will always look back at my mistakes and see what I can do differently next time.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
