My name is Sienna Alday. I am a 2024 midfielder from Mocksville, North Carolina. I moved from Ohio to North Carolina the summer of 2nd grade and my mom signed me up for a small youth field hockey league. That is when my love for field hockey began. I played for my middle school team and was one of the only players to make varsity in 7th grade. I was awarded MVP my 8th grade year and that is the year I joined Charlotte Ambush Indoor, even though it was an hour and a half away. My Indoor team ended up winning our pool at NIT's and I also got high scorer and MVP of the team. From there I was a starting freshman on my varsity high school team and played outdoor for Charlotte Ambush, even in the craziness of Covid-19. My sophomore year I got the opportunity to help younger players on my high school team learn to love the game. I scored 10 out of our 27 goals this season. I was also nominated captain for next year, and I am honored to lead the team next year. Charlotte Ambush and some private coaches from Wake Forest have really helped me improve my game. I would love to play in college because of my love for field hockey, but also for the lifelong friends made along the way. My GPA is very important to me, and even though it is difficult to keep up with it on the road, my determination and communication with my teachers has made it possible. I hope that in college I could contribute to the team and also learn wonders from the coaches and fellow teammates. I hope you keep me in mind, thank you!
